The Avengers, Charlie’s Angels, Thunderbirds, Mission : Impossible and Bewitched : all great tv shows subjected to really bad movie remakes.
Now in the pipelines : Dallas, The Bionic Woman & Nancy Drew
However did the creators of these shows, after reading the crappy scripts, ever agree to these horrendous remakes?
I wish they’d stop churning out all these crappy re-makes too… None of them are a patch on the originals.
Maybe they’ve run out of original ideas or they’re just plain lazy and think: ‘Hey, remember that old film / tv show years ago, that used to be quite good? Why don’t we get the latest good-looking / overpaid Hollywood star and churn out a by-the-numbers re-make?’ Booooooooriiiing.
The crazy thing is that people will still pay money to go and see the damned film just because so-and-so is in it. Maybe these producers ain’t so stupid after all.
